Drishyam Films has already had a great start to 2017, with their next release Newton starring Rajkummar Rao winning the CICAE Award at the Berlin International Film Festival 2017 and the Jury Prize for Best Film at the 41st Hong Kong Film Festival, 2017. More recently, their films won big at the 64th National Film Awards where Dhanak won Best Children’s Film, while Kadvi Hawa bagged a Special Mention.

Manish Mundra, Founder, Drishyam Films has climbed the pedestal by being the only producer to represent India at the 70th Cannes International Film Festival at a time when no Indian feature film has been selected for showcase. Talking about this road to success, he says “I’m elated to receive this honour by Variety at Cannes, the mecca of new cinema in the world. To celebrate, we presented our showreel, a supercut of scenes from all of our films, to our esteemed guests at the India Pavilion. The heartwarming response has left us humbled and hungry to do more, to do better with each passing year. Next stop: Oscars.”
