Nikhil Advani ventures into TV with P.O.W.

After helming films like Kal Ho Na Ho, D-Day and Hero, director Nikhil Advani is all set to make a smashing television debut with his show P.O.W – Bandi Yuddh Ke.

The show, which will air on Star Plus, is a story of two prisoners of war who falsely are trapped by the army of the neighboring nation and are released after 17 years. The show moves back and forth between then and now questioning the credibility of these army jawans who may have been forced to change for the worse in those years.

Purab Kohil who’s always played the quintessential boy-next-door will be seen in a raw tough look as an army officer. The series also stars Satyadeep Mishra, Sandhya Mridul and Amrita Puri.

P.O.W. has largely been shot in and around Delhi and Patiala. It is scheduled to go on air in October 2016.
