Director Vijay Milton’s Goli Soda, a small budget film which made a big impact, has now been selected for the Busan film festival in South Korea. The film is to be screened under the category Window of Asian Cinema.

The film was distributed by N. Lingusamy‘s Thirrupathi Brothers and released on  January 24 2014 to critical acclaim. The film narrates the story of four boys who work and live together in a market working as Coolies.

An elated Vijay Milton says, “I am thrilled with this news. Producer Bharat and I will be leaving for Busan for the screening. Actor Vikram, too, might accompany us. If it were not for him, this honor wouldn’t have come our way,” and elaborates, “Vikram was the one who insisted that we send this film to Busan. He was the one who put me on to the Director of the Busan festival. After watching the film, the director of the festival was excited and asked us to send our film for the festival.”

Interestingly, the film will be screened at Busan on October 2, the same day the film’s Telugu version will hit screens.
