Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane’s latest venture, ‘Trapped’ starring Rajkummar Rao, which had its world premiere at the 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star, was screened to a packed audience on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Le Reve Cinemas, Bandra.

The special premiere was attended by Director Vikramaditya Motwane and Producer Anurag Kayshap. As well as film personalities, Konkona  Sen Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Kanu Behl, Vicky Kaushal, Saie Tamhankar,Gaurav Gera,Vivaan Shah,Varun Grover,Gulshan Devaiah,Neeraj Ghywan and Dibakar Banerjee.

The highlight of the night was the Q&A session with the cast and crew, moderated by Director Kanu Behl.

The film is a survival thriller- It is the story about a man who gets shut in a Mumbai apartment for almost a month without food and water.

Creative Director, Jio MAMI Film Festival with Star Smriti Kiran, said, “This is a proud moment for us. Last year, Trapped world premiered at MAMI. When Directors like Vikram choose MAMI to World Premiere their films, you know that you’ve turned a corner. The audience response to the film was overwhelming. Therefore, it was natural for us to host a special premiere of Trapped for our film club members before it releases. I also want to thank Le Reve Cinemas for giving MAMI’s year round programme a home. Their support has made it possible for us to do this”

Director Vikramaditya Motwane said, “MAMI has always been associated with quality movies and I was more than happy to premiere my film Trapped with them. The response has been overwhelming and I am very confident that the audience across the country will like the film.”

The special premiere was hosted by Le Reve Cinemas in Bandra. SPI cinemas has given MAMI’s year round program a home. A believer in creating a cultural imprint, Le Reve will be hosting all of MAMI’s events in the month of March.
