While setting out to make a short film, especially your first short, there will be several questions that will plague your mind. Here are essential factors to keep in mind when you start work on your film.

First of all, the script should be airtight. It should be such that it can engage an audience for a short time.

Secondly, the length of the short film. Unlike feature films, short films don't have a stipulated beginning, middle and ending. There are less tools at disposal to create an impact. Feature films have the liberty to take their time. They can have multiple songs and introductory sequences.

Thirdly, the budget. People think that since it is just a short film, it will have a negligible budget. But that is not true of every short film.
