The second day of Asia’s first ever India Non Fiction Festival witnessed the launch of ‘My Stroke of Luck’ written by Mr. Vijay Santhanam.  Communication expert Mr. Gautam Kiyawat, CEO, Madison Media and Mr. Radhakrishnan Sreenivasan (RK), Neo Sports launched the book with the esteemed author.

The book, an inspiring story of the author who, in order to regain his health and faculties after being afflicted by a stroke which paralyzed the right side of his body, had to learn to start all over again. It is a journey to recovery, of confronting a crisis through long and arduous therapy and overcoming it with willpower, while learning new strengths along the way. After the incident, Mr. Vijay Santhanam had taken an early retirement from corporate life as a regional head of marketing in a Singapore multinational company, who is now enjoying his second innings as an author and visiting faculty of IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Lucknow.

Commenting on the launch of his book, Mr. Vijay Santhanam said, “My attempt by writing this book is not to describe the workings of a human brain in a scientific manner but to celebrate a man’s journey. When a human being is confronted with a big crisis they summon all their spirit to fight back and win, this story is a testament to it. I would like to thank the India Non Fiction Festival for the opportunity to showcase my story to the audience.”

Speaking about the occasion Kumaar Bagrodia, Festival Director, India Non Fiction Festival said, “It is a privilege to showcase this inspiring book My Stroke of Luck by Mr. Vijay Santhanam, a book that is close to my heart and a great addition to our festival.”
