National Award Winning Director Spandan Banerjee’s new feature narrative, City of Dark premieres on 8th May Village East Cinema as a part of New York Indian Film Festival NYIFF 2016.

Spandan Banerjee has been making independent films for over 10 years.

His earlier films include the “first rockumentary from India”, Beware Dogs (World premiere Rotterdam Film Festival 2008) You Don’t Belong (Special Jury, National Award 2011) To-Let (Best Documentary, IDSFFK 2013) and the recent of the three part film series English India (Hot Docs 2015).

City of Dark is set over two car journeys in a void, the story unfolds in a city hopeful in the day and unkind after dark.
