Emmay Entertainment’s ‘P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke’, the drama adapted from the international series ‘Hatufim’, won the Special Jury Award at the Seoul Drama Awards held in Korea earlier this week. Actor Satyadeep Mishra also won Best Drama Actor at the same event for essaying the role of Capt. Imaan Khan in the show. This is the first time that a show from India has been felicitated at these awards.

Ecstatic at this unexpected recognition, series director Nikkhil Advani said, “At the onset we knew our project was going to challenge the daily diet of television in India. So humbled and pleased that our show has additionally found acceptance across borders in South East Asia.”

Speaking on behalf of the producers, Emmay’s Madhu Bhojwani said, “All our subjects are treated as content to bring with the utmost sincerity and authenticity, irrespective of whether it is for TV, digital or cinema. So proud of and grateful to our cast and crew for believing in the show.”

The company continues to build on its foray into the television medium and is currently developing three programmes commissioned by popular satellite channels and digital platforms.
