Tabu is one the few female actors in Hindi cinema who have been acclaimed for their acting skills. She has played several roles on the celluloid from acting in comedy flicks with Govinda to Gulzar’s Veeran in Maachis, she played it perfectly. When Vishal Bhardwaj was looking for his Nimmi in Maqbool he couldn’t finalize anyone better than Tabu. She played Lady Macbeth’s Indian version which only strengthened the fact that Vishal was right in casting her for such a commanding role.

This time Vishal Bhardwaj is in talks with Tabu to cast her in his next adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet which he has titled ‘Haider’. The film is set in Kashmir and if all goes well it is expected to go on floors by December, 2013. Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have already been casted for the lead roles.

There is a little disappointment for those who wanted to see Tabu playing the Indian version of Queen Gertrude. Nevertheless the director has confirmed that Tabu’s character is equally powerful. The story progresses through her character. Last time their collaboration was a treat for cinema lovers, let us wait and watch what their collaboration will offer to the audiences this time.
